We have a really exciting opportunity for a brand-new role in our Intermediary Sales team! Due to internal progression we are looking for a Field Based National Sales Manager to join Nottingham Building Society. This role will work alongside the Sales Director to lead our fabulous Field BDM team, we are looking for someone with experience in the Intermediary market who will see things though our customers eyes to make our broker journey the best it can be! You will help shape and support new propositions ensuring Nottingham Building Society continues to be the futured focussed Modern Building Society we are proud of. You will be strategic in thinking, delivering new business growth in line with company goals and promoting our company brand, image and products with every conversation you have. As National Sales Manager you will build strong relationships both internal and external of Nottingham Building Society, supporting your team to do their best and keeping up with the external market to ensure we offer the best to our customers. Here's a taste of what you will be doing as National Sales Manager at Nottingham Building Society: -

  • Lead and support a team of remote BDM's, ensuring they are working effectively and efficiently. You will embed a culture of effective people leadership to enable you and your team to thrive in delivering our purpose.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director, using external market feedback and insights, to help shape our product range, processes and services.
  • Use data-driven insights and customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing the customer experience across intermediaries and lending.
  • Be the key point of contact for our Brokers and Corporate Partners; you will support our BDM team to deliver presentations at conferences, exhibitions and other events, building our brand and awareness of Nottingham Building Society externally.
  • Support the Sales Director in shaping strategies, bringing market expertise and a new way of thinking to the team.

    Strong knowledge of the mortgage market and experience in a transferable role (ideally within a Business Development Manager / National Account / Sales Manager role within Mortgages / Lending).
  • A passion for driving an inclusive culture, continuous development and building engaged, high-performing teams.
  • Proven success in establishing key relationships and exhibiting advanced influencing skills with all levels, both internal and external.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement with experience in engaging cross functional teams in new ways of working.
  • You will require a full driving license, this role requires travel across the country to support BDM's and attend events.
