Full Job Description
- Working with the Maintenance Authority to create a database of assets that require NDT application, identify the relevant failure modes and NDT techniques to be employed.
- Identify resourcing requirement, including SQEP requirements for delivery of NDT program, manage recruitment process.
- Develop management system for the delivery of NDT program, including strategy, SoP's, reporting procedures, work management, planning of NDT activities, etc.
- Creation and verification of NDT documentation including the preparation of project specifications.
- Co-ordination of NDT verifications/qualifications.
- Co-ordination of 3rd party inspection activities and interpretation of reports including management of resulting recommendations and/or actions.
- Review journals and technical papers, attend conferences/training events to maintain awareness of advances in NDT technologies and techniques.
- Maintain contact with external NDT industry, NDT equipment suppliers, and consumables vendors. We would love to hear from NDT technicians or engineers who are looking at advancing their careers in a unique industry. We are always looking to improve processes at AWE so if you have previously implemented NDT programs, this would be highly desirable. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
