Do you aspire to foster positive relationships with residents and to deliver better outcomes to tenants? Are you happy to talk to anyone, understand your audience and are organised?
We are developing a dedicated team for Anti-Social Behaviour and Neighbourhood Management, which will work within the Housing Residential Services team.
The role is predominantly desk-based and will provide administrative and knowledge support to the Neighbourhood and Tenancy Service.
We are looking for two Neighbourhood assistants to help deliver our response to Anti-Social Behaviour and provide an effective neighbourhood management service. This is an opportunity to start or build a career in the social housing sector and importantly your 'can-do' approach will help to achieve the right outcomes. You'll have a great team around you who will be working towards the same goals.
Working closely with the Neighbourhood Housing Officers you will provide help, advice, and information to residents on the full range of tenancy and neighbourhood management services. In doing this you'll be dealing with issues of harassment, noise, tenant behaviour and a variety of issues whilst acting as a first point of contact for the service for both residents and other internal teams.
The key to delivering a great service to our residents is by focusing on preventative and early intervention methods to reduce incidents of ASB and neighbour disputes. To achieve this, effective communication, and the ability to build relationships and provide clear explanations of how reports will be managed will be essential.
You won't need previous experience or knowledge of tackling Anti-Social Behaviour within a social housing environment, but this will help. We are looking for people who can build relationships and can deliver an excellent customer service.
You'll need to have knowledge of social housing tenancies as well as being experienced in answering and resolving initial enquiries either by phone or email.
Due to the fast-changing landscape of social housing regulation you'll need to keep up to date with best practice, statutory and regulatory guidance.
This role can be fast paced and you will need to deal with challenging situations. Strong communication skills are required to effectively liaise with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies on a daily basis.
The role will require a good range of writing skills as well as being proficient with Microsoft Office.
You will also have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise different work activities to meet changing deadlines.
Whilst the role is predominantly desk based there will be some work required on the estates, including attending estate inspections, or working across any of the neighbourhood services. This will require a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work. You will be able to base yourself from home or our main office at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst., Disability Confident
