Full Job Description

The overall job purpose of this post is to develop evidence based clinical practice and promote patient safety through staff training, coaching, supervision and mentoring.
This role has one day a week dedicated to supporting the multi-professional training in maternity and neonatal services. The one day per week undertaking this aspect of the role will be professionally managed by the Maternity Lead for education.
The post holder will work strategically and operationally to promote the teaching, training and ongoing development of Neonatal Nursing team ensuring patient safety, evidence based practice, staff experience and service user experience, is an active ongoing process within the Neonatal Service.
The post holder will work in partnership with neonatal matron, ward manager, practice development nurse to develop staff development, recruitment and retention strategy., NMUH North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Hospital Trust (NMUH) is one of London's busiest healthcare providers, providing hospital care and community services for the 350,000 people living in Enfield, Haringey and beyond. We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield so that they can get the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who are delivering the national Healthy Child Programme, which provides a structured framework for the delivery of key interventions to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from 0 to 5 and school aged children from 5-19.
