Neonatal ODN Lead Allied Health Professional - Occupational Therapy

Network Lead Allied Health Professionals will will work as a member of a discrete Neonatal Network Lead Allied Health Professional (AHP) Team that forms part of the Neonatal Operational Delivery Network. They will work to implement the recommendations of the National Neonatal Critical Care Review (NCCR) and the NHS Long Term Plan (2019), to improve access to skilled OTs on all neonatal units within the network. They will support providers to achieve equitable access to and provision of, highly complex, discipline specific, AHP - OT knowledge and skills to new born preterm and term infants., The London Neonatal Operational Delivery Network is seeking to recruit an Network Lead AHP from the following professional group.

• Occupational Therapist
This new role will support the delivery of the recommendations of the Neonatal Critical Care Review. The purpose of the network AHP role is to provide leadership across the network with a view to increasing access to AHPs on the neonatal unit and enhancing AHP provision. Specific responsibilities of the role include strategic input to ensure standardisation of care, developing the education and training offer within the network for existing AHPs, developing clinical supervision groups, and maintaining clinical expertise. Please see the job description and person specification for further details. The role is offered on a part-time basis on a 0.4 WTE / 15 hours per week as part of a job share. The role is offered on a Fixed Term basis (Maternity Cover).
