Full Job Description
During your induction you will work supernumerary with someone supporting you, while working through an education pathway.We have a purpose built unit consisting of 8 ITU cots, 10 HDU cots and 12 SC cots.The nursing establishment for the Service complies with the All Wales Neonatal standards regarding staffing which is 1:1 nursing for ITU babies, 1:2 for HDU babies and 1:4 for SC babies.We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 6 nurses with a flexible approach to work who are able to work the full nursing rota. This includes 12 hour shift patterns of days, nights and weekends., In return for your hard work and commitment to our service we offer excellent development opportunities for all our staff, including:- An induction period with a dedicated education pathway. You will be fully supported during this time by the practice development team.- paid annual leave, statutory maternity and sick pay (subject to qualifying criteria)- Occupational Health & Staff Well Being Service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply., We are committed to staff development and our team of practice development facilitators will support your education needs and personal development.Applicants are invited from suitably qualified neonatal nurses - Neonatal Modules 1 and 2, ENB 405 or equivalent with sufficient experience at Band 5.Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for this post.
