Full Job Description

We are looking for a warm, friendly, forward thinking administrator to join our close-knit team 14 hours per week. The hours will be over 2 set days , 8 - 3.30 pm. As Neonatal Administrator you'll be welcoming families and professionals onto the unit with a smile, whilst performing an assortment of administrative tasks to support the clinical team across the NICU. Your day will be fast paced with the clinical situation ever changing, responsibilities include answering phone calls and coordinating appropriately as well as providing general administrative support to the unit. Therefore the ability to organise and prioritise ones own workload is essential.Main duties of the job

  • To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing efficient and effective reception and clerical support to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Transitional Care.
  • Act as first point of contact for all patients and visitors attending Neonatal unit. The post holder will come into direct contact with patients, carers, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Neonatal Ward and reception.
  • Be expected to organize their workload to ensure that an efficient service is provided.
  • Liaise with other departments for example paediatrics, phlebotomy and maternity wards.
  • Carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the unit.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and work within the Trusts GDPR policy
