• Please note that this position is located in London or potentially Bristol (3 days a week from our London -or potentially Bristol - office, the rest of the time is up to you!)
We are looking for .Net Software Engineers to join a new cross-functional group focussing on growing our Retail Media offering within Just Eat Takeaway.com. Retail Media are responsible for significant revenue generation within the company, and we're expanding our engineering teams to meet our commercial & technology targets. We're hiring for multiple roles within our Retail Media space, with the main area of focus being on the integration of a third-party platform that will power our on-site advertising initiative. Other areas of our engineering remit will be working on our flagship sponsored listing product, first-party data interoperability with a customer data platform & scaling our other retail media solutions across our global platform. As a .Net Software Engineer, you will help drive our architecture & technical deliveries by writing highly scalable and testable code, supporting your peers & challenging our teams to strive for excellence. We work closely with a large number of other teams, with innersourced development as our standard way of working. In our organisation ownership is one of our core engineering principles - we write it and we own it. Engineers are expected to take responsibility for their work, including being part of an on-call rota to ensure the reliability of the system that we're building.These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
• Take a leading role in planning, designing & developing scalable enterprise solutions using .NET technologies
• Collaborate with other cross-functional engineers & engineering teams, as well as with key stakeholders to ensure we deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Participate in our on-call rota, ensuring that we maintain operational excellence.
What will you bring to the table?
• Solid development experience, proficient in C# with a strong understanding of the .NET ecosystem.
• A strong understanding of cloud service, preferably AWS, however experience with Azure or GCP is fine.
• Demonstrable experience of unit testing tools/frameworks (for example xUnit, NUnit, MSTest etc).
• Experience in building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Able to work independently, taking responsibility for the technical delivery of key technical initiatives within a given workstream.
• Experience of writing highly scalable services, working in a microservices based architecture. Experience of message queues or distributed systems would be a bonus!
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills (we're advocates of innersourced software development at JET!).
