We are looking for an enthusiastic Netball Coach (Sessional) to join our team in September 2024.

Training every Wednesday @ Archbishop's Park - 4:00pm-6:00pm or 4:30pm-6:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • To take responsibility for, and contribute to, the coaching of the netball team within the

  • Coach Senior netball team (Y11-Y13)

  • School. This will include training sessions and midweek after school fixtures (not every week).

  • To plan and deliver coaching sessions for the netball team.

  • To ensure all pupils' experiences, at any level, are positive and enjoyable.

  • To communicate with pupils on important issues such as team selection and playing/training commitments.

  • To be an ambassador for netball within the school and beyond.

  • To undertake relevant mandatory and statutory training and development as required.

  • To administer basic First Aid, if required, and be willing to assist pupils.

  • Strong communication; both written and verbal

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good pastoral understanding

  • Agile and able to adapt quickly to the requirements of the School

  • Outstanding personal relations and team working skills

  • Ability to lead by example

  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff

  • Effective behaviour management skills

  • Personal resilience, persistence, and perseverance


  • Knowledge and Experience:
  • Strong IT Skills

  • Interest in working in the Education Sector

  • Experience coaching youth Netball teams

  • Previous experience of working in a team and liaising with all levels of staff

  • Netball Coaching Qualifications - Level 1 essential.
