Full Job Description
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for: 1. Resolving Customer related issues with regards to the Sewerage Network, taking ownership and resolving to a satisfactory conclusion. To include but not restricted to:- Flooding, Pollution, Collapse, Blockage, Rising Main Bursts, Odours 2. Assisting the Network Manager and reviewing the departmental budget, workload and manpower requirements. 3. Liaising with Asset Strategy, Local Asset Management and Capital delivery teams to ensure Network risks are identified, understood and solutions developed. 4. Identifying any areas for future efficiency savings together with the development and implementation of appropriate business plans. 5. Developing and maintaining a quality management system and achieve a high standard of internal and external audit compliance. 6. Assisting the Network Manager with external stakeholders to include active management of regulatory relationships eg Environment Agency representatives and the Involvement and participation in various community groups when appropriate. 7. Representing the company during incidents with outside agencies such as the emergency services, EHO, Local government etc. 8. Ensuring all service providers are effectively managed and are compliant with management systems & processes 9. Provision of technical support to service providers and associated field staff. 10. Assist the Network Manager with the safe & efficient operation of the sewerage network, ensuring that all operational activities are undertaken in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. Actively promote environmental awareness within the business. 11. Ensure all investigations into sewerage network issues are of the highest standard and compliant with respective audit procedures. 12. Identify cost effective operational or reactive capital solutions for complex network issues to ensure that customer and environmental issues are quickly resolved 13. Capital Maintenance - Identification of investment requirements to improve service and reduce costs supporting the overall Asset Strategy. 14. Establish a high performance culture with appropriate training and full implementation of process improvements afforded by investment in new technology or working practices. 15. Monitor and review telemetry alarms. Carry out detailed investigations and make recommendations that reduce alarm activity and improve operational efficiencies.Who you'll work with Internal

Experience gained through understanding of waste water service delivery working within high performance teams. - Ability to think strategically but also able to ensure effective day to day delivery of services.
- Awareness of the current Serviceability and SIMS performance targets and Factors influencing the scoring mechanism.
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas, targets & solutions to colleagues and service providers.
- Computer literate, with experience of Window applications and SAP.
- Hold current driving licence.
- Understanding of planning and scheduling of work processes.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships and to be seen as a highly credible senior representative of the business is required for this role. Good to know
- A full UK Drivers Licence is required for the role
