Do you want to make a difference in the lives of neurodiverse young people and their families? Are you interested in changing perceptions, shaping neurodevelopmental assessment services, promoting positive outcomes for neurodiverse young people and their families?

Following a significant investment by local commissioners in our established RDaSH Neurodevelopmental Disorder pathways we are seeking to recruit enthusiasticMental Health/Paediatric/adult Nurse, Speech & Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist orsocial work to join our multidisciplinary Neurodevelopment assessment team. Positions are available with both full-time or part-time and flexible hours.

This is an exciting time to be joining this service as we have been working closely with our partner agencies to develop a more integrated and multi-agency/ disciplinary service. You will be joining a large dynamic and supportive group of Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Nurses committed to working within a compassionate framework where your development and well-being will be prioritised and encouraged.

The successful candidates will be expected to have excellent communication skills and will provide consultation to families, schools and other professional and agencies when there is ASD and/or ADHD queries. There will also be a requirement to undertake ASD and ADHD assessments and to consider differential diagnoses; including Intellectual disability and trauma. You will have relevant demonstrable experience of working with neurodivergent children, along with experience of working in multi-agency teams and with a wide variety of client groups which reflect the full range of clinical severity.

The Neurodevelopmental pathway is strongly committed to personal and professional development; the role is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and transferable skills in a supportive team environment. The successful candidates will be encouraged to undertake training in the ADOS-2.
