Full Job Description

We are looking for a general administrative assistant to contribute to the team responsible for the booking and management of patients requiring imaging within Neuroradiology. This will involve liaising with patient on the phone and face-to-face as well as making appointments and ensuring lists are fully used.
This may involve some time at the new Community Diagnostic centres, which are currently being created in Stockton and Redcar, · Carry out routine administrative duties pertinent to the service.
· The role requires the individual to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
· The post holder will be expected to undertake / complete the following tasks (where applicable)
· Assist in booking patients appointments onto the corporate computer system according to the Clinicians priority instruction and clinic rules, ensuring an appointment notification letter is printed to confirm their appointment date. Ensure demographic and GP details are correct or amended when necessary.
· Confirm demographic details of received imaging requests via Camis and National Spine
· Assist in ensuring all requests for imaging are scheduled as per the timescales requested.
· Assist in booking and managing referrals for patients who are referred under the 2 week rule criteria
· Ensure that appropriate referrals are assigned to the relevant Community Diagnostic Centre
· Receive telephone calls from patients frequently throughout the day and guide patients who are telephoning to agree, change or cancel their appointment time, date or location.
