Full Job Description

The Trust Doctor post will provide excellent experience for candidates who have passed the MRCS exam with Neurosurgery Registrar experience.

+ Working with a team of 10 clinical, 2 academic registrars and 3 fellows
+ Cross- cover of colleagues absence is required
+ Perform on-call duties including operating out-of-hours at a level appropriate of a Senior SpR
+ On-call will be shared equally with the other ST3+ level post-holders and will be banded at 1B (40%)
+ The post holder will run a weekly Rapid Access Spine and Fracture clinic
+ There will be ample opportunity to perform audit and research projects at St George's and at RMH and RSCH
+ This post would incorporate an element of service development
+ The post holder will be expected to travel between all the Trust sites and also those necessary to fulfil their duties
+ The post holder will work collaboratively with the spine MDT coordinator and CNS to facilitate the effective clinical management and seamless care of patients with spinal tumours
