Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced surveyor to join the New Build team, providing support to our major lender clients. The role is crucial in ensuring we remain the UK's leading provider of residential new build property advisory services. As a Technical Manager, you will have extensive interaction with clients at all levels, with a particular focus on being a main point of contact for new build specific queries relating to "first on site" reports, valuation queries and insight into lender concentration risk. The successful candidate will also work with the existing team to continuously review and improve existing processes across our new build services proposition, including concentration management, high risk developments, valuation issues and "first on site" processes. Responsibilities:.
- Provide assistance to Area Managers and Strategic Relationship Managers in resolving escalated cases where specialist technical/valuation knowledge is required.
- Regularly review and refine internal workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Work with the team to provide insightful analysis and meaningful MI for senior management, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Strong organisational and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide teams through complex tasks and ensure accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MI data, identify trends, and implement meaningful improvements.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, propose practical solutions, and lead the team through problem resolution.
- Proactive in identifying areas for improvement in both team performance and internal procedures.
- Supporting ongoing evolution of existing risk management and exposure monitoring processes.
- Undertake reviews of new build high risk development sites. This will involve a combination of desktop and physical inspection of new build development sites.
- Consistent point of contact for lenders/panel suppliers/surveyors and area managers.
- Supporting ongoing development of exposure management policy.
- Work closely with e.surv client new build lenders and Strategic Relationship Managers to ensure timescales for delivery of lender policy changes are communicated to lender clients.
- Create and issue regular guidance to internal stakeholders and external clients covering a range of current and emerging issues relating to residential survey and valuation.
- Deliver regular presentations at meetings on a range of issues relating to residential new build valuation
AssocRICS or MRICS/FRICS qualified - Proven experience of working as part of a team of remote and office based qualified surveyors.
- Demonstrable experience in promoting a culture of compliance within the business
- Detailed knowledge of RICS "Red Book" requirements.
- Knowledge of current trends and emerging issues in the new build residential surveying and valuation.
- Be prepared to travel and engage within forums.
