Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, innovative Naval Architect to join our growing New Building Technical team. Reporting to the Vice President - President's office, Construction, Maintenance & Guarantee, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the construction and repair of our global Cruise fleet. In this role, you will be required to have a strong understanding of engineering principles, enjoy working with creativity, and have excellent attention to detail. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Participates in the design and development of Cruise ships and relevant structures for new building and conversion/repair projects
- Carries out detailed design plans, drawings and specifications
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting during the construction and maintenance phases
- Ensures that the solutions proposed are in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Conducts feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Collaborates with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
Master's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering - Professional working experience as a Naval Architect or Marine Engineer
- Experience with advanced materials and technologies in marine construction (preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
- Experience with Napa Onboard support and updates (preferred)
- Familiarity with Environmental and Sustainability considerations in Naval design (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Experience with vessels > 150m (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent spoken and written English VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
