Full Job Description

This role in the New Product Planning (NPP) team involves asset planning five years before launch, creating asset-specific plans, coordinating market shaping activities, and supporting the handover to brand teams two years before launch in the UK. The individual will manage multiple priorities, use business analysis to provide recommendations, and work with the Commercial Lead and cross-functional team to ensure a successful UK launch. Your tasks in detail:

  • Contribute to the cross-functional Core Team and Asset specific team meetings in the development of the asset plans and Must Have analyses, ensuring the tactical execution of these plans, including strong liaison with the XFT.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's pipeline products, with a key focus on the priority assets and relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Design, commission and manage market research (with coaching/ support) for market, asset and / or organisational readiness.
  • Conduct and interpret market and brand analysis (using national and regional level data where appropriate) for deep market understanding.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to support data analysis, understanding/utilization of insights, and development of a narrative for stakeholders Brief and manage agencies to ensure projects are planned and delivered as per objectives.
  • Connect with stakeholders from EUCAN and other LOCs for knowledge / best practice sharing and collaboration.
  • Manage internal approval process via PromoMats to ensure compliance with company processes and ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Support budget management to ensure the team remains within agreed spending levels and financial planning submissions.
  • Project management and maintenance of the cross functional team plans including the tracking vs. agreed KPIs.

    Degree in life sciences or business, preferable higher level degree qualification(s) e.g. MSc, PhD or Business / Marketing qualifications(s) e.g. MBA, Diploma in marketing.
  • Understanding of market, asset, and organizational readiness for launch planning (e.g., launch excellence, brand lifecycle management, market access, patient advocacy, regulatory & reimbursement environments).
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Good understanding of the ABPI code of practice and relevant regulations.
  • Desirable: Forecasting or market research experience; understanding of pharmaceutical data (e.g., IQVIA, Wilmington, Cegedim, NHS data).
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Emerging business acumen and curiosity about commercial strategy in the pharmaceutical industry. Proactive, eager to learn and improve.
  • Strong analytical skills with a quantitative focus. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Flexible team player with emerging leadership and effective communication / influencing skills.
  • Emerging presentation skills for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
