Looking for a new challenge? Our NHS 111/Integrated Urgent Care (IUC)) service is looking for Return to Practice (RtP) Nurses to join our team. Our clinical staff are highly skilled in remote clinical triage/assessment; providing clinical care to patients who call 111. If you have left practice our RtP program might be the right option for you. Undertaking a RtP program can be daunting if you have been away from nursing for a while, but we want to assure you that we will work with you to give you the best chance of success. We are using the Test of Competence (ToC) which doesn't require you to attend a university or clinical placement. However, this is not the "easy option" back to practice - please research it to decide whether it is right for you. The ToC comprises two parts 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) The multiple-choice computer based theoretical test is split into two parts; A) covers numeracy and B) covers clinical questions for nursing. Further information about the CBT and some practice tests are on the NMC website. 2: Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) A practical test comprising 10 stations covering Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation (APIE), skills tests and an assessment of the candidate's values and behaviours and evidence-based practice. We will provide a ten-week program to prepare for the OSCEs which has recently been successfully trialed on a group of International Nurses., We offer a high standard and professional service to our patients, supporting them by providing high level, evidence-based care, where necessary signposting to the most appropriate service or care provider including, ambulance dispatch and the wider community-based services. As part of working within the NHS111/IUC team, you will be offered training and support into the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, with opportunity to progress and develop professionally. In addition to the attractive salary, our offer includes unsocial payments under Section 2 of the NHS Terms and Conditions (excerpt below). All time on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week-day after 8 pm and before 6 am - Time plus 30% All time on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight) - Time plus 60% We offer full NHS Pathways training and enhanced telephone-triage communication skills. We are looking for both full and part-time staff, to cover roster patterns to include working across evenings, weekends, and public holidays. You will be offered a fixed term contract for the training period. After you have successfully completed your training, you will then be issued with a permanent contract of employment.
