Full Job Description

This is a new role within the organisation to support delivery of great together strategy across all its services and at ICS level to advocate for Mental health. There is recognition that most of our clinical pathways go across to different partnership arrangements and primary care is a key relationship e.g., Depression and suicide pathways. At the Health Care partnership level, improvements in population health, tackling inequalities improving experience and enhance productivity all require primary care participation. The evidence is clear that strong clinical and care professional leadership is associated with higher productivity and better organisational performance., Support the Chief Medical Officer and SRO for a programme to develop and deliver clinical pathway change for a clinical priority area in mental health for MHLDA. The role is predominantly strategic, supporting the HCP and Clinical Professional advisory committee to identify clinical priority area. Help to deliver these priority areas by supporting the primary care networks across Hertfordshire. Collaborate with all stakeholders and system partners having patients at the heart of the redesign and co-producing with stakeholders. Work in partnership with the project/programme manager to contribute and be the clinical lead to the development of business cases including service specification, end to end pathways, KPIs and outcomes Lead on clinical audits for the MHLDA priority area and be the clinical voice on respective research as appropriate. To provide clinical leadership as a member of relevant provider collaborative and clinical networks. Attend the MHLDA CPAC as required and relevant Committees in HWE ICS when required, Clinical representative for HPFT at local and regional clinical networks as appropriate. The successful candidate will support the strategic planning of and system delivery of a MHLDA clinical priority areas. Support transformation at System through working alongside members of the ICB clinical and operational leads (and with partners including locality and place based clinical leads where appropriate). Implement a PHM approach to the priority area including having a good understanding of HWE local data and national benchmark data where appropriate and any factors underlying unwarranted variation to inform priorities and redesign.

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Desirable criteria
  • Postgraduate Qualification in Health care management, Ability to work conscientiously and complete all tasks in a timely fashion
  • Knowledge and ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with system partners in the ICB
  • Knowledge and experience of working strategically at a system level
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of new models of care and evidence base practice for the clinical priority area or area of work or demonstrate transferable skills from another clinical priority area or area of work
  • Demonstrate leadership and significant experience in system clinical transformation, working in partnership with range of stakeholders and delivering outcomes for patients
  • Desirable criteria
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills needed for the post
  • Participated in research and published papers and original work in peer-reviewed journals
  • Formal training in management and administration, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
