Full Job Description

Are you an experienced carer with a desire to progress your career to the next level?
Do you prefer to work nights?

Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Leading a small team of carers, you'll be responsible for keeping wakeful watch on the security and safety of our residents and the home in general. You'll ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed, understanding the importance of maintaining accurate records, and will be able to manage the time of both yourself and your team effectively to support the wellbeing of our residents. You'll understand that some shifts might be challenging, but you'll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with our residents.

In joining us, you'll also become part of our extended family. You'll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.

Millbrook Lodge is a 80 bed Care Home located in the centre of Brockworth. The home offers residential, nursing and respite care in a comfortable, homely setting. We're rated 8.5 by Carehome.co.uk and Good by the Care Quality Commission.

You'll have NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or you've achieved NVQ Level 2, and you're prepared to study for NVQ Level 3. You'll also be experienced in leading a team to deliver care, be keen to progress to a role with greater levels of responsibility and be willing to undertake relevant training to support your career development in a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.

You'll be a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive leader, you'll motivate your team to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times.

If you think you have the right skills and attitude to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents as a Night Care Leader within our care homes, then you could be the next to join us. So, apply and get your career started with us today.

The Trust is a great place to work; we've been providing care for almost 1,000 years and we're currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in. Therefore, we offer a great range of benefits, including a competitive salary, training and development.

Here are some of the other benefits you'll enjoy as a valued member of our team:

- 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- A Company pension

- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
- Care Worker Charity membership for well being and financial aid
- Refer a Friend scheme rewarding you up to £1000 for every recommendation you make who successfully starts working for us
- Blue Light Card and "My Rewards" programme, offering you discounts on shopping, days out, restaurants and much more
