Full Job Description
Westbrook is a care centre that provides short term placements, assisting people to regain their independence and meet their aims and objectives. We offer short term support to those living with dementia in our specialist dementia care unit. We also work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Social Services Registered Practitioners to support those requiring rehabilitation or further care assessments to return to the community. We are looking for Night care workers to join our team and help us to improve the outcomes for our service users., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

- Experience in health & social care sector
- Experience of care and support of vulnerable people and those living with Dementia
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Health and safety, data protection and confidentiality
- Knowledge of compliance with equality policy, procedure, and legislation, We can offer you a comprehensive induction package. This will include mandatory training as well as access to multiple personal development courses. You will either already hold or be willing to complete NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or equivalent. Night shifts are from 21.30 - 07.30 hrs and you will have a rolling 4-week rota, enabling a more flexible work-life relationship. There will be some weekend and bank holiday working. We currently have one night vacancy of 60 hours per four weeks, on a set rota The starting salary for this post is £24,040 based on full time hours of 37 per week. There is an additional enhancement of 1/3rd for hours worked each night and at the weekend and double time for Bank Holidays.
