Full Job Description

We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our team to work with our Hygiene night team at Barway. You will be supporting for the delivery the highest standards of Hygiene in all areas of responsibility with a focus on attention to detail, whilst observing the strictest H&S protocols in line with the role. Key Responsibilities: To ensure excellent hygiene standards are met throughout the factory providing a good level of detailed cleaning work.  High standards are to be expected. Monitor and report chemical effectiveness or any issues of concern. Ensure that provisions such as PPE and tools are well maintained and used in the correct manner. Food safety concerns must be raised to your Line Manager immediately. Waste is to be disposed of in accordance with training ensuring segregation between waste materials is maintained. Clean factory machinery in accordance with cleaning instructions. Follow all H&S procedures, policies and adhere to chemical safety training. Ensure adequate levels of hygiene is met and sign relevant records and documentation. Provide support and safe working conditions for your immediate and wider Teams including Production, Engineering and Technical Departments. Report hygiene and safety concerns to your Line Management immediately. Wear, maintain and inspect personal protective clothing to ensure it is kept in a safe and hygienic condition. Use work equipment in accordance with training and manufacturer instructions, reporting defective or broken equipment to Line Management immediately. Candidate requirements: Experience in Hygiene within the Food Industry preferrable. Someone looking to develop their career in hygiene. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and industry standards. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills and organisation.
