Full Job Description

  • Working as part of the team to maintain a waking, watchful presence overnight including monitoring CCTV, regular checks of the building and grounds and recording any incidents, damage, or defects.

  • First responder to Call Bells

  • First responder to any emergency situations

  • To contribute to the management and supervision of Residents in the Village, always ensuring the welfare and safety of residents and staff

  • To ensure all arising situations are dealt with safely and efficiently, providing a safe and secure environment.

  • Have an exceptional understanding of the village emergency procedures for any health and safety, fire or care related emergencies.

  • Be fully confident in the Village fire safety policy to be able to carry out a full evacuation if required.

  • To participate in handover briefing sessions at the beginning and end of each shift

  • Provide support and assistance to residents as needed during night hours, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns promptly.

    First aid at work qualification is required and will be provided.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for our residents.

  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

  • Genuine caring approach to the elderly, together with an ability to think carefully and accurately during hectic periods.

  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS checks required.

  • Attention to detail.
