Full Job Description

General duties will include pre & post-operative care, physiological observations and investigations. You will develop an in depth knowledge of wound management and the specific needs of patients who fall under the Upper GI and Colorectal speciality.An interest in Upper GI and Colorectal would be beneficial

As a Band 4 in the Upper Gi and colorectal speciality you will receive direct support from senior nursing colleagues to develop and enhance your skills. Enabling you to nurse a cohort of patients and be responsible for their pre and post op care.

We are looking for a enthusiastic new team member to join our Upper Gi and Colorectal Team department at Royal Preston Hospital.

We are looking for a qualified Assistant Practitioner / Nursing Associate, who has a passion for providing high quality patient focused care for our surgical patients who have a flexible attitude towards work and a desire for new challenges.

You will gain valuable experience & will develop wound assessment knowledge and wound care management skills . Pre & Post operative care knowledge & skills. These skills are transferable to any area of your nursing career.

£26,530 to £29,114 a year per annum, pro Rata for part time
