Full Job Description

As a Night Sous Chef at Sodexo in Paddington, you are also a dedicated team player and a vital support to our Head Chef. Your role ensures that we deliver high-quality food while maintaining our company's esteemed reputation. This position plays a crucial part in providing exceptional culinary experiences, ensuring our food offerings meet performance standards, and adhering to strict food hygiene protocols.   • Produce menu items daily to the required standard for the correct numbers and at the appropriate times
  • Ensure food is prepared in line with HACCP/Sodexo guidelines and accurately recorded
  • Provide prompt and efficient customer service during service hours
  • Complete wastage sheets for each service daily
  • Maintain hygiene levels in the kitchen and related areas, ensuring all daily documentation is completed
  • Place all orders with the nominated supplier
  • Assist the Head Chef with buffets/functions, including those outside regular hours
  • Support the Head Chef in stock taking and related administrative duties
  • Report customer incidents/comments to the Head Chef and assist in documentation

    706 1 & 2 or equivalent (essential)
  • 2 years of previous craft experience or similar
  • Reasonable maths skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers, clients, and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Proactive in identifying and communicating potential issues to the Head Chef
