Full Job Description

This includes the promotion of flexible working opportunities across the Trust., The post holder will work under the supervision of the Ward/Department Manager and other registered staff at all times
The post holder will be required to provide support to Registered nurses and Clinical Support workers in accordance with Ward/Department based competencies
The post will be based within a defined Ward/Department but some flexibility may be required to cover areas as and when required when service needs dictate
The post holder is not responsible for managing a budget but should be able to demonstrate an awareness of the impact of their decisions on the Ward/Department budget
Undertake assigned tasks and procedures linked to Ward/Department competencies and requirements, and Directorate and Trust objectives, and which are specific to the immediate care environment e.g.
Daily department cleanliness
Maintaining stock levels in store areas as well as clinical areas
General tidying of all areas of the ward
Ordering of stock and maintenance of the same.
Contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Ward/Department.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist the Multi-Disciplinary team in maintaining a clean and safe Ward/Department environment.
Be aware and act in accordance with all Ward/Department and Trust Operational Policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety and patient confidentiality.
Undertake further training and personal development as highlighted through individual performance appraisal.
Carry out any additional Ward/Department specific responsibilities as requested.
Undertake administration staff duties as required.
There may be a requirement to move equipment within the ward environment.
