Non-Executive Board Member

In this role, you will directly advise and support the Ombudsman as a member of the Board and one of its committees. You will contribute to organisational leadership and performance monitoring and provide constructive challenge, scrutiny and feedback on PHSO’s work. Our work often leads to wider improvements across public services and influences how organisations operate and how people experience them. We have taken significant strides forward in resolving challenging cases, producing influential policy reports that are taken seriously by Parliament. We have a strong voice and we have reported on a range of issues, from the impact of Windrush, to HS2, to State Pension age communications.

Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.

We make final decisions on complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England and UK Government departments and other UK public organisations.
