Security Clearance requirement

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.

  • Validate the deployment / configuration of Apache / Weblogic / Oracle DB and Apache / Tomcat / Oracle DB (n-tier applications) environments.

  • Working knowledge of on-premises HP-UX platforms.

  • Possess working knowledge of SUSE Linux platforms.

  • Utilize VB, MS Access, and MS FoxPro (desirable skills).

  • Apply basic knowledge of MS SQL Server, Postgres DB, and RDS Oracle DB in various tasks.

  • Working knowledge of Citrix environments.

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Forms architecture.

  • Analytical problem-solving skills, with experience in process improvement recommendations.

  • Proven experience in testing, understanding test techniques, metrics, statistical analysis, test lifecycles, and the infrastructure required for test execution.

  • Experience in delivering testing within both Azure and AWS clouds.


  • Mandatory Skills :
  • Develop and document test plans and scripts for individual projects / changes using Azure DevOps (ADO).

  • Execute tests, identify, and capture defects using Azure DevOps (ADO).

  • Collaborate with project personnel, technical SMEs, and Project Technical Architects to understand project scope, review test results, and provide progress reports.

  • Work with stakeholders, including the Test and Integration team, Project Managers, Application Support team, and third-party vendors.

  • Contribute to the Test Completion report for each test stage.

  • Support the management of the testing repository on SharePoint / MS Teams / ADO.

  • Ability to define non-functional test scope and create non-functional test cases.

  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to understand and address client requirements.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for maintaining testing artifacts and reporting progress.

  • Ability to navigate AWS and Azure clouds, check monitoring setups, alert configurations, backup and restore settings, server configurations, and antivirus installations.

  • Facilitate and confirm the success of resilience / failover / back-ups / restores.

  • Basic understanding of AWS Terraform and Azure Automation Scripts.

  • Knowledgeable in testing technology / software layers installed on servers and databases.
