Full Job Description

The NMP role exists to offer person centred clinical prescribing within the Horizon service. They will prescribe across various service locations within Blackpool.

NMPs enhance patient care by supporting timely access to treatment with medicines, The NMP will have responsibility for accepting professional accountability and clinical accountability for their prescribing practice. always working within their registered prescribing rights, clinical competence and with reference to their regulatory professional standards.

The NMP role will support service development with their clinical knowledge and leadership by overseeing trainees, students, Nurses, recovery and NMPs as appropriate to support the clients recovery journey.

The NMPs prescribing decisions, working with clients and the Delphi teams will ensure outstanding service delivery in line with service pathways, contributing to the overall success of the clients journey.

Main duties of the job

Client interaction- in all our services meeting clients to assess need and agreeing their personalised clinical care.

Multi-disciplinary meetings- When reviewing clients clinical needs a multi-disciplinary approach will support clients to agree person centered care plans.

Work closely with SLT colleagues, service leads and provide support to other Delphi service if required.

Work across sites prescribing face to face and remotely.

Provide expert clinical advice to support Delphi to lead the way.

Review clinical records supporting the audit cycles.

Empower and support the inclusion of a workplace program for student NMPS and nurses.

Support and oversee trainees, Nurses and Recovery Practitioner, NMPS and students where applicable.

Prepare and be present for CQC inspections.

Always maintain high quality records and documentation associated with client care.

Highlight and create opportunities to improve patient care and work with colleagues to move improvements forward.

Provide training, awareness, and support sessions around NMP role.

Promote and develop the reputation of Delphi and the Calico Group through the development of external relationships through attendance at key events.

Promote integration within the Group at all levels, representing Delphi at meetings and events.

Support dispensing of controlled and non-controlled drugs to meet the clients physical support needs.

Completion of Clinical and Psychosocial assessments to help create a person-centered integrated care plan.

The Horizon Team is based in Blackpool and have a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience. They are a diverse team creating a culture of wellbeing and togetherness. The team is made up of various roles such as Administrator, Support workers, Recovery Practitioners, Nurses, Care Coordinators, Therapists and Managers. The team is welcoming and supportive and they focus on finding the path that is right for the individual whilst delivering innovative and specialist addiction services
