Full Job Description

The postholder will work primarily at The Level IPDU with expectations to work across NRN as required as an independent Non-Medical Prescriber in collaboration with the medical lead and to run prescribing clinics within the designated service. In addition, this post holder will be expected to run prescribing clinics beyond the designated service. This will require independent prescribing with remote medical supervision. The postholder will be expected to: work closely with the medical lead and Service Managers to ensure appropriate protocols are in place. provide clinical leadership, support and teaching to all relevant personnel within the team/ service. This will include mentorship of less experienced NMPs. provide safe and high quality care to clients and carers. support the Team Managers/Service Managers in standard setting and ensuring standard of care are achieved through audit.

Role Context: To work with the medical lead to develop the role of the Non-Medical Prescriber within the Partnership. To assist the Team

Managers in the supervision of staff, care co-ordination, clinical activity and performance and deputising for the Team Managers in their absence. Confidence in providing inpatient independent non-medical prescribing is an essential requirement., Ensure that all policies are strictly followed including in the delivery of patient care. In conjunction with other specialist and senior clinical staff, set, monitor and evaluate standards of care. Work as a team member, and flexible to the needs of the team. Ensure accurate client records and information systems are maintained and evaluated. Manage a diverse caseload of clients, ensuring a high standard of clinical care for the patients/ clients under your management. Ensure that clinical practice accurately reflects the partnership philosophy. Ensure that regard is given to the custom, values and spiritual beliefs of patients and colleagues. Participate in multi-disciplinary research and audit projects. Deliver and audit the practice of continuous risk assessments including safeguarding and Domestic Abuse Select and use appropriate therapeutic interventions with patients/clients/carers, including group interventions. Evaluate and audit interventions and ensure effective outcomes. To
work as an independent Non-Medical Prescriber within this specialist field

Use clinical reasoning to assess acceptable levels of risk taking for clients who are unable to do this for themselves. Initiate and deliver appropriate training for professional colleagues and staff. Ensures maintenance of high standards of clinical practice within the service. Support the implementation of team objectives within the integrated team.
