Full Job Description

The purpose of the Site Manager is to ensure the site you run is operated as efficiently and safely as possible, in compliance with relevant regulations; and that it delivers outstanding service to its customers.

You will manage the safety of all people on the site and for site compliance regarding health; welfare; people management; cost; quality; legislative; and environmental matters. You are responsible for ensuring that site targets are achieved. You will need to communicate with external customers including clients, the Environment Agency, Animal Health and any visitors to the site.,

  • Responsibility for the day operation of the plant with specific regard to planning and managing the processing of all feedstocks.

  • Maximising operating efficiency and margins, with key accountability for the site profit and loss

  • Reporting, analysing and addressing weekly and monthly KPI's with line manager and Operations Director

  • Management of digestate and working in conjunction with stakeholders for haulage and spreading

  • Responsibility for site maintenance and working with contractors and third parties to minimise down time

  • Liaising as required with EHO, EA, HSE, AH

  • Maintaining PAS110; ABPR certifications

  • Adhering to planning conditions

  • Maintaining adequate records, samples, lab tests regimes

  • Local community outreach and liaison

  • Staffing - recruiting, training

  • Performance management of direct reports

    Mechanical aptitude

  • WAMITAB - AD Level 4

  • Understanding of PASS110

  • Good problem-solver

  • Experience managing budgets

  • People management experience

  • Experience using plant operation machinery

  • Collaborative team worker, Anaerobic Digestion: 2 years (preferred)

  • management: 2 years (required)

  • Scada: 1 year (preferred)

  • agricultural: 1 year (preferred)

  • Mechanical: 2 years (preferred)
