Are you a skilled touch typist looking for a rewarding role where you can help to really make a significant difference to a young person's life chances? We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our fantastic team at Three Rivers Academy to support a deaf student in Key Stage 4. You will be required to electronically note-take for this student to facilitate inclusion and academic achievement. You must be an accurate touch typist preferably with a qualification in electronic note-taking. Additional training will also be provided by qualified teachers from Physical and Sensory Support - a targeted specialist education service with Surrey County Council for vulnerable young people. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who is committed to helping this young person access the GCSE curriculum with the willingness to work in a classroom environment where young people of all backgrounds are supported and encouraged to succeed. On occasions when the student is absent, you will be required to attend the lessons and note-take. Working closely with the student's keyworker you will ensure the student is being supported to achieve to the best of their ability, whilst also supporting with their happiness and wellbeing. This role will require working with the student in timetabled study sessions for the reviewing of lesson content, notes and key vocabulary. This is a term-time only, temporary role commencing as soon as possible until 23 May 2025. Hours are 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15 am to 3.15 pm.
