Full Job Description

  • Hold a caseload that includes a mix of Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases.
  • Work to the duty rota, handling incoming assessments and responding to urgent safeguarding concerns.
  • Conduct timely assessments of children and families, ensuring that appropriate services and interventions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to provide coordinated support for children and families.

    Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Duty and Assessment Service, Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • Experience in working with Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, legislation, and statutory responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload while working within a duty rota system.
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for children.

    Pay Rate: £36.58 per hour (umbrella), depending on experience.
