Full Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer supports new product development for liquid cooling. The Mechanical Engineer works closely with product designer to develop / support new product development of Liquid Cooling - Thermal Product What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team for New product development, Engineering to order for following ranges of units:
  • + Liquid Cooling Product, i.e. Cooling Distribution Unit, Out Door Heat Rejection + Chiller + Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), + In Row + Mobile
  • To design solutions with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal and piping), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement, and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs.
  • To create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).
  • To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
  • To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility; improving, updating, reviewing the mechanical drawings according to the information from the Production, Procurement and Logistics departments, so as to simplify the assembly, reducing the costs and improving the quality.

    2-5 years of engineering product development or support experience.
  • Strong credential of working on Mechanical Design tools,
  • + MBD (Model Based Definition) experience preferred + CREO preferred
  • Significant Sheetmetal design experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods.
  • Data-entry systems familiarity & Bill of Material Creation Experience - Oracle, Agile, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams.
