Full Job Description

As an NPI Technologist based in Bromborough, you will work across various categories and work closely with the relevant Development Managers as well as other stakeholders. You will manage the factory side of the NPD process from technical product handover through to post launch reviews across all areas of the category. You will be responsible for and required to undertake the following duties:

  • Factory trial management associated with NPD/EPD projects in line with agreed critical paths using the Pilgrim's Europe Stage & gate process
  • Document control from factory trials including micro and analytical.
  • Arrange trial review panels
  • Reporting on trial progress, agreeing trial schedules, and proactively participating in problem solving activities.
  • Full data gathering responsibilities from factory trials (such as yields, labour inputs, changeovers, etc)
  • Be proactive in suggesting alternative solutions to production issues.
  • Support with customer approval panels
  • Assists in organising and planning the agenda for pre-production
  • Work on innovation projects
  • Act as an 'ambassador' for Pilgrims, ensuring professional conduct, approach and personal presentation at all times.

    Be comfortable within a meat environment - comfortable to conduct organoleptic assessments/taste panels of meat products (pork, beef, lamb, and poultry)

  • HACCP and Food Safety / Hygiene knowledge
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent IT skills for writing, accessing, analysing and reporting of data.
  • Good working knowledge of excel spreadsheets and formula writing.
  • Proven experience driving an exciting food culture that puts our products at the heart of what we do., Degree in food or relevant qualification
  • Equivalent transferable experience within Food manufacturing
  • Driving Licence
  • Meat industry experience an advantage
