Full Job Description

AWE is currently recruiting for a NTR Associate Portal Testing Specialist as part of the Cyclamen Portal Testing Team that sits within the wider NTR Operational Support Team. Provides practical radiological and logistical support to the Nuclear Threat Reduction (NTR) portal testing programme: providing day-to-day assistance to ensure that the portal testing capability is maintained and readily available. This team travel around the UK testing portal systems and working in collaboration with UK Border Force. Ensuring the safety and security of the UK Borders.

This role is ideally suited to someone who is happy to travel around the UK and staying away for various amount of time. This role also requires evening/weekend work. Has awareness of the associated security and compliance requirements and able to adapt to short notice changes. We do need you to have the following:

  • Proven organisational skills to actively manage schedules to meet demand.
  • Cat B license
  • Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience of:
  • ADR licence
  • An ability to adapt to short notice changes.
  • Operational experience would be beneficial
  • You'll need to have the ability to:
  • Demonstrate and promoting high standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality
  • Engaging and building internal and external relationships related to the task that the team undertake
  • Adhere to the standards around expected company behaviours
  • Support delivery to meet customer requirements
  • Identify and report to the local accountability board (Visual Management Boards)
  • Work alone or as part of a team, and being a great team player
  • Acting as a Work Supervisor for compliance with company work control arrangements
  • This role will require travel around the UK and occasionally abroad. A full clean car driving licence is required. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.

    Package: £28,420-£33,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience),
  • 9-day working fortnight - meaning you get every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.
