AWE is currently recruiting for a NTR Operations Technician within the NTR Operational Support Team. This team maintain and provide the various assets used by the offsite response - equipment, detectors, sources, vehicles, secure communications and the responders. The offsite response will deploy to live incidents and work with partner agencies to resolve emergency situations or support investigations. Our prompt and effective contribution is critical to public safety, protection of property and national security. This team also support training and exercises. This particular role sits within the Operational Readiness Team which forms part of the Operational Support Team and will include responsibility for the maintenance of detection equipment, radioactive sources and other related tasks.

This role is ideally suited to someone who has managed and maintained equipment, and has attention to detail. We do need you to have the following:

  • Proven organisational skills to actively manage schedules to meet demand
  • An ability to adapt to short notice changes

  • Support delivery to meet customer requirements
  • Identify and report to the local accountability board (Visual Management Boards)

    Package: £23280-30000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience), 9-day working fortnight - meaning you get every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.
