Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced radiographer or technologist to work in our Nuclear Medicine department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. This is great opportunity to join us in a state-of-art Nuclear Medicine department in a modern hospital building. You will ensure a high-quality scanning service administering radiopharmaceuticals and performing Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT scans. You will be supported by a Senior technologists, consultants, management, and dedicated physics and admin staff., You will have technical expertise and good clinical knowledge. You will capable of responding to challenges and working cooperatively as part of a large MDT. You will assist with effective day-to-day operation of the service. You will need to be resourceful and innovative to ensure that the service delivers prompt and timely care to our patients, as well as maintaining good relationships with colleagues. You will assist with patient flow and maintain regular dialogue with the administrative service. You will help with quality assurance and daily equipment checks.

The role includes rotation with Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT teams. You will be required to work at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton with a rotation to other Trust sites. The service will initially run Monday-Friday 8am - 8pm but will expand to encompass weekend working as the service develops.

Preferably you will have already a qualification in radiography or nuclear medicine, but it will be possible to provide Nuclear Medicine training for a suitable candidate with a science and healthcare background.
