Full Job Description

This role is offered on a part time basis of 25 hours per week, this means that candidates interested in working part time are encouraged to apply and will receive a salary on a pro rata basis.
Nurse Associate Position Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinics., The Role will be based in the Orthopaedic Fracture Clinic at GWH, providing services to both adults and paediatric patients.
The role will include working in Clinics including, Fracture-Clinic, Cas Card Clinics, Follow-up Clinics. Wound Care for fractures and elective wounds, Podiatry Clinics including diabetic foot issues. Assisting in the plaster room with the Orthopaedic Practitioners.
To provide education and act as an advocate for patients in the outpatient setting. Assist Register Nurses and Medical staff within the clinic setting.
There will be an opportunity to develop casting and splinting skills within the department.

Candidates are responsible for covering the cost of their own DBS check if required: £18 for a Standard DBS check, recoverable from the first pay, or £38 for an Enhanced DBS check, divided and recoverable over the initial two pay periods. We are recruiting for a motivated, enthusiastic and patient care driven Nurse Associate to work within our Orthopaedic and fracture clinic at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Ideal candidates will have the relevant skills that are required for Orthopaedic and trauma care and be committed to on-going development.
The role is suitable for a Qualified Nurse Associate who has completed their Nurse Associate Foundation Degree awarded by the NMC.
