Full Job Description

We are looking for registered Nurse Associates to come and join our friendly team at the Midland metropolitan university Hospital. Our Paediatric unit comprises of ward D4 which is 18 bedded inpatient ward with 2 HDU beds , E4 22 bedded inpatient ward with adolescent unit featured within the unit and 10 bedded paediatric assessment unit , and medical day unit . If you would like a new challenge please come and join us in our brand new hospital building. You will be supported by our Paediatric clinical educator in your new journey.

As a Nurse Associate, you are a member of the direct care team. You will work autonomously and also in conjunction with members of the wider clinical team demonstrating safe, competent clinical decision-making and delivering expert care to patients whilst working within professional boundaries, under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The post holder will support the registered nurse to meet the needs of children/young people in the acute ward setting The post holder will be an experienced healthcare professional who will either be an established or recently qualified Nurse Associate., The nurse associate will:
1. Work according to the NMC Code of Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour and relevant professional guidelines and be accountable for their own professional practise
2. Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse with a focus on promoting health and independence
3. Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values
4. Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of children/young people.
5. Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and indirect supervision of a registered nurse or otherregistered care professionals dependent on setting
6. Take responsibility for developing own clinical competence, leadership and reflective practice skills within the workplace
