Full Job Description

The post holder will work as an integral member of the Corporate Nursing team and will ensure the delivery of, and provide assurance of, the standards of practice learning and professional education for the nursing profession. The post holder will be identified as a reference point for the wider organisation, for issues relating to nursing education and nursing development. The post holder will line-manage the Practice Placement Facilitators within the team and will work closely alongside the AHP education and placement team. The post holder will ensure close and effective working relationships with all clinical and operational managers within the organisation, and will be responsive to any concerns or escalations raised. The post holder will also be responsible for forming positive working relationships with external partners, including Canterbury Christchurch University and Greenwich University.,

  • To provide direct leadership and effectively manage the Nurse Education team, creating an environment conducive with KMPT values.
  • To oversee the recruitment, performance, and attendance management of the Nurse Education team.
  • To have an awareness of the budget in which the service sits and to enable cost-effective decision making.
  • To maximise the use of funding to ensure appropriate training provision for students to meet current and future knowledge and skills needed for the future nurses in mental health.
