Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing and Midwifery for a Registered Mental Health to join our highly committed pre-registration nursing team as a Practice Learning Nurse Educator. Nursing and Trainee Nursing Associate programmes are delivered in a number of sites, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes. It is anticipated that these post will be largely based in Preston but may also include regular teaching at our Burnley campus.

The successful applicant have up to date knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and clinical proficiencies alongside a desire to contribute and advance nurse education. Experience of delivering simulation-based learning and knowledge of quality assurance within practice learning environments would be an advantage for this role. In addition, the post holder will be expected to engage with relevant external organisations to enhance the learning and assessment of learners on NMC approved programmes in practice including the undertaking of educational audits and supporting the preparation of Academic Assessor, Practice Assessors/Supervisors.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a first level nurse, have a degree or equivalent in a health-related subject level.
