B1 is a general surgery ward and is situated on the 2nd floor of theIrving building (blue area) at Salford Care Organisation, part of theNorthern Care Alliance.The ward has 18 beds, two seven-bedded bays and four singlerooms. Our dedicated, professional ward staff provide 24-hournursing care.We are committed to offering our patients quality care and excellentcustomer service, ensuring a comfortable and positive experienceon our surgical ward.

The services we offer include inpatient care for both emergencyand elective surgical procedures for a range of specialities, workingclosely with specialist nursing teams to ensure the higheststandards of care.

You will be a Qualified Nurse with substantial experience in a relevant area, You will be registered with the NMC and have ideally have experience of working in a high care environment.

You will be able to demonstrate high standards of care which is achieved through evidence based practice, evidence of continuing personal development and also have experience of managing teams and are willing to further develop your management skills.

Taking on the role of co-ordinator, you will support your Ward Manager, junior staff, manage patient flow and be responsible for patient care.

You must be able to work as a team member and an independent practitioner, adhering to the NMC code of conduct. Demonstrate self-motivation and leadership skills, together with the ability to communicate effectively.
