Full Job Description

As a Nursery Assistant, you'll need recent experience supporting young children aged 6 months to 3 years.

Your role will be to ensure every child has a positive, engaging, and creative experience as they begin their learning journey., Your role is to support the Nursery Teacher in providing high-quality care and education to young children, promoting their wellbeing and development in a safe and nurturing environment.,

  • Support the nursery teacher in delivering activities that meet the needs of young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children who need extra help with their learning, including those with additional learning needs

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of a safe and stimulating learning environment,

  • Promote positive behaviour management strategies

    Ideally, have a relevant Level 2 or 3 CACHE qualification; although, no qualifications are required. Good literacy and numeracy standards are needed.

  • Experience working with young children would be beneficial

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
