Are you passionate about early years education and looking to make a positive impact? Little Munchkins Montessori is seeking a dedicated and qualified Deputy Manager to join our nurturing and dynamic team. In this key role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are met. You will also foster strong relationships with our dedicated staff and supportive parents, helping to create an engaging and safe environment for every child. This is a maternity cover role which will be 12months but we would want to keep you on to help the west london nurseries We are committed to supporting your professional growth and offer exciting opportunities to progress within the company, whether that means advancing to a Nursery Manager position or exploring other career paths. Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the nursery safeguarding culture is maintained and continuous training is carried out.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery
  • Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication, and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions
  • Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families

    Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 years' experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 years' experience of working in a management position - Desirable
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
