Full Job Description

We are actively recruiting for a Deputy Manager to become a valued member of our well-established team, working in collaboration with the Nursery Manager. This full-time role requires availability Monday through Friday on a rotating schedule, with working hours spanning from 7.30am to 6.00pm. Main Responsibility

  • To work in unison alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure full safeguarding measures are always undertaken and the nursery operates efficiently at all times.
  • Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children.
  • Work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
  • Keep records of your key children's development and learning journeys to share with parents, carers, and other key adults in the child's life.
  • Create an exciting environment to meet the needs of individual children while having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and specific care needs.
  • Ensure a good standard of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.
  • Have fun on a daily basis.

  • · A good understanding of the EYFS · Excellent understanding of the English language, both spoken and written · A good understanding of safeguarding practices · Previous childcare experience in an early years setting · Cleared DBS check before commencing work · The ability to extend children's learning through high-quality experiences and activities · The ability to manage a team of practitioners and lead a nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager. · Good communication skills with both adults and children · A commitment to reflective practice and self-development Our nurturing and secure environments encourage active learning for all, offering everyone the chance to develop at their own pace through personal interests and meaningful engagement.
