Full Job Description

Our vibrant and friendly day nursery is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative person to join and lead our team. Candidates should be positive, energetic, patient and willing to work with children, parents and colleagues to grow the nursery. A Montessori practitioner helps children reach their own potential. They must not only foster independent growth but also assist children to learn at their own pace through self-correcting lessons. Our Nursery is situated within the grounds of Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate who will have the skills and expertise to further grow reputation within our community and extend the current provision and offer. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
  • Foster a positive, energetic, and patient environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Implement and uphold Montessori principles, fostering independent growth and self-paced learning.
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards.
  • Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections.

    Previous Nursery Manager experience, including excellent EYFS and Safeguarding knowledge.
  • Experience of working in an Ofsted Good or Outstanding setting and preparing for Ofsted inspections
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children
  • A full and relevant childcare qualification (level 3 or above)

    Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Hours of Working: 40 hours per week, early starts and late finishes required on a rota basis with other members of staff Holiday Arrangements: 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays
