Professional Provide a high standard of individualised care to mothers and babies in line with evidence based best practice and Trust guidelines and policies. Using evidence-based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of family-centred care for a defined group of patients. Under direction of the midwife undertake observations on mothers and babies. Use equipment to support the care of transitional care babies (for example: Blood glucose monitoring, warmer cots, NG tubes and tube feeding, saturations monitors, phototherapy units).
