Full Job Description

Providing high standard of care to neonates and their families under clinical supervision of NCOS
Support parents and staff with preparation of discharge of the neonate in special care and the transitional care based on the postnatal ward.
Teach and assess parents craft skills
Maintained high standards of care both in hospital and community settings
Support "Baby Friendly Initiative"
To provide support and on-going assessment of the neonate post discharge as delegated by NCOS., Assist parents/carers to develop their skills and build confidence prior to and following discharge.
Monitor vital signs.
Caring for babies receiving Oxygen and participate in Oxygen studies.
Participate in the care of babies requiring phototherapy.
Be able to identify child protection concerns and take appropriate action.
Maintain legible, accurate and contemporaneous records in accordance with the Trust Policy
Be responsible for own professional development.
