About Community Vision Nursery
Community Vision Nursery is situated within the Community Vision Children and Family Centre in Penge. The nursery operates from a self-contained, single-storey premises with access to enclosed outdoor play spaces. It offers both sessional and full day places for babies and children up to five years of age.

Our Nursery Practitioners play a vital role in the first few years of a child's life, and the successful candidate will be part of a team providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years of age.
In this role, there is no danger of two days being the same! As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning a wide range of suitable activities for children of different ages and abilities, giving you an excellent opportunity to get creative and see how the children respond to different activities.

As a Nursery Practitioner, remaining calm and patient is essential, even when there may be challenges. That's why the ideal candidate will need to have great problem-solving skills and be able to adapt their approach when working with children from a diverse range of backgrounds with varying experiences, including children who may have additional needs.
Ideally you will have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will also need good communication skills to work with the children to develop their own language and to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other professionals.
The career opportunities within Early Years are plentiful! Applicants with a full and recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years would be preferred for this opportunity, however, consideration will also be given to applicants who have a valid Early Years level 2 qualification and are willing to work towards a level 3. We will also consider an unqualified candidate, with experience, who is willing to train and gain a level three. Unqualified candidates must be able to evidence working or volunteering with children under the age of five years.

This full-time post, of 36 hours per week, working a shift rota between the hours 7.45 am and 6.15 pm. The nursery closes for one week over Christmas.

The salary offered is as follows:
Level 3 qualified in Early Years and Childcare: BR5 grade, salary range £24,125 - £25,588 (£12.85 - £13.63 per hour)
