Full Job Description

The Bourne End Day Nursery & Pre School has four separate rooms caring for children from 3 months - 5 years and a big outside area for the children to explore daily. We have long standing members of staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. We have an exciting opportunity to join The Bourne End Day Nursery & Pre School which offers on street parking available and good transport links to the nursery, including a 5 minute walk to the train station. We are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our growing team and provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. If your passion is to see children thrive and develop in early years, we want to hear from you! This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:30am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. As Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

    Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year's experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
